You don’t have to carry birth alone
I know what it feels like to be unsupported. To carry the worry for everyone around you, plan through every worst-case scenario, and smile like it’s all fine.
If any of that feels familiar — especially while you’re pregnant — you’re not making it up. And you don’t have to do this alone.
I’m Perrin — a certified birth doula serving families across Greater Boston, MetroWest, and Worcester. My work is grounded in training, birth-room experience, and what 100+ mothers have told me they actually need.
I know the difference it makes when another woman shows up with steadiness, warmth, and the right words at the right time. That is the kind of presence I bring to my clients.
Pregnancy asks a lot of you: appointments, decisions, emotions, physical changes, birth plans, family opinions, and the quiet fear of not knowing what you don’t know.
My role is to help you feel informed, steady, and supported through it. I connect you to evidence-informed guidance, practical preparation, local resources, and the parts of yourself that can get drowned out during pregnancy, birth, and early motherhood.
Why continuous support matters
Research shows that continuous labor support is associated with:
More spontaneous vaginal births
Fewer cesarean births
Shorter labors
Less use of pain medication
More positive birth experiences
Lower likelihood of low 5-minute Apgar scores
Doula-specific research also suggests benefits for maternal anxiety, breastfeeding initiation, and postpartum follow-up.
