Perrin and her son, Wave, 12 months postpartum at her first job back to work.
What it’s like to work with me
When I found out I was pregnant with my son in 2020, I was on MassHealth. Doula care wasn’t covered then, and I didn’t even know what a doula was.
After a challenging labor, I held my son for the first time with no experience in newborn care. I learned it all as I went.
I used WIC and daycare vouchers to get back on my feet, and before I was 12 months postpartum, I was working again while still breastfeeding my son.
When I work with my MassHealth clients now, I’m filled with joy that I can offer the kindness, steadiness, and education that would have helped me move from surviving into thriving. I support my clients with the same love and care I would have given myself.

Up to 8 hours of visits across pregnancy and the 12 months after your baby is born. You decide how to use them — a few longer visits, more shorter ones, more during pregnancy, more after. It's yours to plan.
If you need more than 8 hours, we can request additional coverage from MassHealth.

I'm not a medical provider — you'll still see your OB or midwife for medical care. What I do is answer your questions about pregnancy and birth, help you prepare for labor (what to expect, comfort measures, breathing, positions), work alongside you and your care team during labor and delivery, and meet with you after the baby is born to talk through your experience and help with the basics of feeding and newborn care.
